I went to the second employee going away party in 24 hours. This is craziness!

Partying in Ripon

Weeellllllll!!!!

There is something to be said for parties out in the middle of nowhere among the stars the almond trees and the vineyards! And that something is WOW!

My friend/co-worker turned 40 yesterday and we definitely celebrated in style. His brother is the best deejay that I've ever heard! We all danced well into this morning. Luckily most of us had secured rooms in nearby Manteca. I met scores of interesting and fun folks from all over the Bay area. Looks like it may be an interesting summer...I've been invited to go to Reno and there will be monthly Carmona parties well into the fall.

This is the first real party I've been to since last fall. I'm tired of hiding..it's time to get back out and be social again.

I met several former 3Com employees. Very cool people..

Oh..here's a bit of Manteca trivia for you....Apparently the first settlers actually named it Monteca which means "sweet butter". Well, when the railroad came through, they misspelled the name of the town. So instead of sweet butter, you now have lard. Sighhh! Oh well...It is a nice little town among the groves of almonds and vineyards.

Ok kids, I'm still pretty exhausted and need much more sleep. So, on that note, I will bid you good night!

P.S. The doves have decided to live on the patio... It makes me feel good to know that they feel comfortable enough to stay with me. So cool!

Sooo Tired!

Sleep escapes me again! Sighh..I guess I wasn't made for sleep. You all are wondering what's keeping me awake...sorry..I cannot divulge that information here. Too many would most likely be hurt by it, including me. So, it goes into a hand written journal. I need therapy..for many reasons! Oh well! On to other things...

About the doves...all is well...They are big and happy. Every morning, I see their mother sitting in front of my patio door. It's nice to have a guardian. I wish she could quiet my brain.

One of my co-workers turns 40 this weekend and there is going to be a BIG party in the middle of nowhere tomorrow. Yes, I'm finally actually going to get out into the world and mingle on my own. I guess I do that when I go into wine country, but this will be the first that I'm really partying with co-workers outside of work and work type parties. It should be real interesting and real fun! I need some serious fun..I'm feeling pretty down and burned out.

Oh! A friend of mine is buying me a tattoo for my birthday! I've been wanting one for quite some time. Sooo cool!!

Well..About Molly and the babies

Heh...There was a bit of an altercation with a blue jay today...sighhh

It appears that it may have done away with one of Molly's chicks..I chased it away when I realized what was going on...Molly and one baby look a bit rough around the edges but they seem okay. I hope they stay that way...Damn jay...the sword will come out the next time it comes back.

In other news...I'm much better..of course being comatose for 2 days should do that. Thank heaven for drugs and green tea!

Sick! Part Deux! Arghhh

This has to stop! Stress and insomnia do strange things to your body. This time it's the sore throat from Hell.
Anyway...The dove chicks are about half the size of their mother. They just sit and stare out at things. Much like me today..sighhh..
Vacation time is coming and it won't be too soon.

The cutest little chicks!

It's confirmed! Molly has 2 chicks! She proudly sat in the flower pot this evening showing them off!! I took some more pictures. Sighhh...this is my life right now...it could be much worse!

In other news....Hunter S Thompson has gotten his last wish! I feel that roadtrip to Aspen, Colorado may be in order in August to witness this awesome event!

Baby Doves!

Molly's babies came out of their shells this weekend! There are 2 that I can see. They have eyes as big as their heads and are pretty fuzzy!

And to keep the balance.. Terry Schiavo and Pope John Paul II move on to the next level. A safe journey to both your souls!


On other fronts....."Sin City" is an awesome movie! Thank you Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez!

I drank some fine HopKiln Zinfandel this weekend. It was 2002 from their Primitivo Vineyard. This one will put a dent in your head if not mixed with food. 15.7% alcohol! Don't plan on doing anything but sleeping after consumption.. Ahhh! Heavenly nectar!

And now for the sleep....sighhh...or an attempt at it anyway...the melatonin isn't even working..
